What is Clanker?

Clanker is a token deployment protocol that started as an AI bot on Farcaster and now runs the clanker.world launchpad, an API and an SDK. Each token launches with a fixed 100 billion supply and a Uniswap v4 pool, and the creator earns a share of swap fees.

Users can deploy by tagging @clanker in a Farcaster cast, through clanker.world, through partner interfaces, or programmatically with clanker-sdk. Contracts are live on Base, Arbitrum, Unichain, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Monad and Solana, with Base the main venue.

Version 4 tokens are not mintable and are burnable. Up to 90% of supply can go to extensions such as vesting vaults (7-day minimum lock), airdrops and a creator buy; the rest is split into up to seven liquidity positions.

A sniper auction runs for about 22 seconds after deployment, capturing value from MEV bots and passing part of it to the creator before open trading. Clanker.world shows warning tags and social-context checks for tokens.

The newer Droids feature attaches an AI agent with its own Farcaster account to a token, funded from part of its LP rewards. Clanker v2 to v4.1 contracts were audited by Quantstamp, Macro and Cantina between January and August 2025.

Good fit for

  • Creators and communities launching a token on Base
  • Developers building launch tools or AI agents

Not ideal for

  • Traders looking for low-fee pools
  • Projects needing custom tokenomics beyond fixed supply

Clanker is the reference launchpad on Base with transparent economics and audited contracts. Its fees reward creators, not traders, so buyers should weigh the 1.2%+ swap cost.

2%0.4%2.4%

Every Clanker token trades in a Uniswap v4 pool that charges a creator LP fee chosen at launch. Clanker adds a fixed protocol fee equal to 20% of the creator fee, so a 1% creator fee means a 1.2% total swap fee, and 2% means 2.4%.

Creators earn only from the initial LP the protocol creates; pools that others open separately pay them nothing. Rewards are claimed from the token's admin page on clanker.world, and anyone can trigger a payout to the creator. Deployment itself costs only gas plus any optional dev buy.

Clanker pros and cons

Pros

  • Clear, published fee formula
  • Multiple audits across versions
  • Strong Farcaster and Base distribution
  • Developer API and SDK

Cons

  • Total swap fees of 1.2% or more weigh on traders
  • Most launched tokens are speculative and illiquid
  • Rewards only from the initial LP
  • Social-first flow assumes a Farcaster account
