What is Veranta (formerly Avantis)?
Veranta, previously Avantis, is a perpetual futures exchange on Base where you trade crypto and real-world markets with USDC from your own wallet. It suits traders who want leverage on stocks, currencies and commodities outside a broker.
Avantisfi.com now redirects to veranta.xyz, and the AVNT token kept its name. A USDC vault (avUSDC) takes the other side of every trade, and prices come from Pyth Pro and Chainlink feeds.
The docs list 100+ assets and up to $500M in open interest capacity. US blue chips trade 24/5, and Korean equities such as Samsung trade during Korea Exchange hours. Order types include market, limit, TWAP and partial take-profit and stop-loss levels.
Upside Perps give up to 250x leverage on crypto majors. Losing closes pay no platform fee, and you keep 75% to 95% of profit on wins.
You log in with an EVM wallet or with email, SMS, Google or X, which creates a wallet for you. Orders are signed EIP-712 intents with deadlines and nonces. Contracts were audited by Zellic, Zokyo and Sherlock; v2 went live in August 2026, and its reports from Guardian, Sherlock and Zellic were 'to be added shortly'.
Good fit for
- Traders who want leveraged stock, FX or metal exposure in a wallet
- Base users who want gasless perps with USDC
- Directional traders who prefer to pay only from profits
Not ideal for
- Traders who need an order-book venue
- Anyone in a region where trading leveraged derivatives is restricted

Veranta (formerly Avantis) fees
| Market | Trading fee | While holding |
|---|---|---|
| Crypto, maker side | 0.001% open and close | Net rate (funding + borrow) |
| Crypto, taker side | 0.045% open and close | Net rate (funding + borrow) |
| Crypto, Upside Perps | None upfront; 5%-25% of profit on wins | Funding between traders |
| FX, commodities, indices, equities | 0% in growth mode, spread applies | Net rate (funding + borrow) |
On crypto majors a maker pays 0.001% and a taker 0.045% of position size, on both open and close. On Veranta a maker is a trade that moves open interest toward balance, not a limit order.
Forex, commodities, indices and equities have no maker or taker fee while in 'growth mode'; you still pay the spread and funding. Upside Perps charge nothing upfront and take 5% to 25% of profit on winning closes only.
Staking AVNT with enough 30-day volume cuts fixed fees by 5% to 30%. Trading is gasless: Veranta's relayer pays gas and there is no keeper fee.
